For all of you who want snort but have dhcp or dial up there is a script made by a laptop user that changes your IP configuration frequently, allows Snort to change its address space quickly and painlessly its name is Address Config.
There is another program I use it is another active firewall script that automatically reconfigures ipchains firewalls like Portsentry but uses Snort alerts instead its called Guardian.
